PupilPath Problems

PupilPath+Problems

PupilPath, an application that helps teachers, students, and parents across New York City communicate about grades and assignments, has been down since January 8th.

In the WJPS community, PupilPath helps students monitor their grades and is the only way for teachers to upload them. However, as the marking period ends, some teachers and staff members, such as Mr. Van Deurs, worry that they won’t upload grades in time.

Mr. Van Deurs said, “I can’t hand graded tests out to my class because I can’t upload their scores online before the marking period ends, slowing down my teaching process.”

Students are also concerned because they are unsure if last-minute makeup work is being entered to raise their average before the end of the  marking period.

PupilPath’s official Twitter account has not been updated since December 22, 2021.

On January 12th, Illuminate Education released a statement on the PupilPath website that stated, “Illuminate Education recently began experiencing technical difficulties, resulting in a disruption to our IO Suite of products. We immediately began an investigation, and indications are that this was the result of an attempted security incident.”

There has been no update on when PupilPath will be up and running again.
