“Graduation will be a day for students to celebrate their accomplishments and completing high school, despite any challenges they may had to face the past four years,” senior committee member Luciano Cardoza said.
In June 2015, graduation for high school seniors will be held for those who meet both the credit and seat time requirement. Nevertheless, to carry out said event there are many expenses. To cover these expenses, graduates are expected to pay a of $200 fee before February 14th.
“By paying your fees early we can get decoration, speed up our process, and know what are budget is,” senior committee member Rachel Yacono said.
The fee will include: cap/gown, commencement barbeque, diploma cases, graduation announcements and tickets, honor cords, medals, senior awards night, senior gifts, stole, senior breakfast, yearbook, and other graduation expenses.
The due can be paid in installments or one lump sum, but only cash or money orders will be accepted and can arranged with school treasure Ms. Pepe in room 336. All money must payable to World Journalism Preparatory School and there are no refunds.
If a student doesn’t pay off their graduation dues first, then that student will not be permitted to purchase and attend Senior Trip or Prom.
“Since this is the seniors last year together, participating in senior activities will give the them more opportunities to make memories together,” senior committee president Samantha Ubertini said.
