Being in a journalism school, photography is a must, but unfortunately it is not something that is thought to students. The Teen Academy of the International Center of Photography is now offering a variety of photography classes to students interested.

There are scholarship opportunities offered as well as need based financial aid. Students are encouraged to apply early. The deadline is January 13th, 5pm.

Winter classes are now offered for Photography I in Black-and-White: Camera and Darkroom and Photography I in Color: Color Film and Darkroom. There are also classes for students who are more advanced in this field. These consist of Photography II in Black-and-White: Lighting for Portraiture and Photography II in Black-and-White: Exploring Self-Portraiture.

“I think this program would help me because it would teach me more about photography, like how to photo edit,” junior Gabriella Sanchez said.

For more information about the program, feel free to contact Dee Campos at 212.857.0061 or [email protected].
