WJPS will be hosting an international trip in February of 2024, where students will be brought to Greece and Italy.

WJPS assistant principal, Mr. Petrotta is the trip coordinator.

“I’m really excited for our students to have the opportunity to travel internationally again; I wasn’t sure when we would be able to offer a Europe trip again, but I’m so glad many students showed interest in signing up. We already have 80 students who will be traveling with us and it’s very exciting. I hope it broadens our students’ and families’ world views and helps everyone experience something new and different.”

Mr. Petrotta also stated that the last time a trip like this took place was in February 2020, where everyone went to Italy and France “before COVID-19 took over and closed down the schools.” 

“First of all, I’m really excited they brought this trip back. I have been wanting to go since sixth grade and being able to go for my senior year is the most exciting part. I’m definitely looking forward to traveling with my friends to these new countries that I’ve never been to before and always wanted to visit,” commented WJPS junior, Jasmine Casanova.
