With the offseason being here, the Jets would be looking into improving their squad for the future season later this year. The Jets finished 7-9 throughout last season finishing third in the Eastern American Football Conference. The Jets currently hold the 11th pick of the NFL Draft in the first round which is held in late April.

To improve to make the 2020 season more promising, the Jets need to draft an offensive lineman in this upcoming draft. However, they might miss out on lineman Andrew Thomas from the Georgia Bulldogs, who is among the top prospects this year.  The Jets are projected to have a 60 million dollar salary cap this offseason and could increase if some players are removed from the squad.

The Jets should not search for or draft another quarterback after Sam Darnold finished the season with 19 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. He did turn around his performances during the final stretch of the season by throwing more touchdowns and completing more passes.

With some correct decisions, the Jets could be a team that can compete for the AFC East in the upcoming season.
