Allow Phones in Class

We should be allowed to use our phones in class at least at certain times of the class period.

This should happen if we finish our work, it’s the beginning of the period and the teachers haven’t started the lesson, or if we need to search something for our work.

Teachers shouldn’t have a right to take our phones for the whole day, especially when we aren’t even in that teacher’s class.

We should all still do our work, but if we have finished everything and have nothing left to do we should have the right to go on our phones without them being taken away.

If teachers really want to take a student’s phone they should at least give the student a warning first.

WJPS ninth grader Mariana Martinez said, “Yes I think we should because teachers don’t always know everything and our phones help us search things up and if there was an emergency we would need to contact our family immediately.”

WJPS ninth grader Lambreeni Dzelves said, “We should be able to use our phones in class because the lessons can be boring and I rather just go on my phone and keep me entertained.”
