Anonymous “Spy” Balloon Shot Down

Anonymous+%E2%80%9CSpy%E2%80%9D+Balloon+Shot+Down

During the month of February, four objects were shot down by the U.S. military in separate locations. One object was revealed to be a Chinese balloon while the rest are undetermined.

The objects were shot near Deadhorse, Yukon, Lake Huron and a beach in South Carolina. China defended their usage of the first balloon by claiming that the U.S. had bypassed the Chinese borders at least ten times, without the approval of the authorities. According to Beijing, it was simply used for the weather and had accidentally flown into U.S. borders.

At The White House, President Biden had stated that he wants to end the conflict as soon as possible, but he refuses to apologize for shooting down the four anonymous flying objects.

As a result of the situation, Biden has discussed new rules for whether specific objects pose a threat to the U.S. or not.

WJPS senior Claudio Corte stated, “I think that China was wrong for attempting espionage on the U.S. and shooting down the balloon was the right move since nobody was hurt and the matter was addressed.”

Diego Hernandez, another WJPS senior, denoted, “I think that China is a bit more responsible because I believe that there could be a rule about not having unidentified flying objects in other countries’ territory.”
