On February 27th, WJPS will be hosting a students v.s. teachers volleyball tournament after school. Some school community members shared their opinions on this new upcoming event. 

WJPS physical education teacher Ms. Smith commented, “This has been an idea for years in the making, since students have been requesting a volleyball tournament instead of a basketball one, so I’m really excited that we’re able to do it this year. We’re going to have a great time and hopefully we’ll do it again next year.”

Ms. Smith also said that she believes the tournament will offer a “good team bonding experience” between everyone, which is “necessary to have if you want to win.”

WJPS senior Nick Zuvich stated, “I really do enjoy the events that the teachers organize for us to play against them. I am mainly looking forward to winning and beating the teachers.”

WJPS physical education teacher Mr. Maroney stated, “I like the collaboration that happens between everyone and the positive energy the tournament brings. I’m excited to play alongside the teachers and take the victory home.”
