Parent-teacher conferences are meetings where a students’ behavior, grades, and other matters are discussed between a student, their guardian and a teacher. Many take this as an opportunity to display the work they’ve done throughout the school year.

There will be two upcoming days of parent-teacher conferences at WJPS, which will be taking place on the 16th and 18th of March.

“It depends on how well the student is doing and their behavior in class because if they think they’re a good student, they shouldn’t stress and be anxious over parent-teacher conferences,” commented WJPS junior David Montoya.

WJPS junior Diego Hernandez said, “I think there are many factors that come into play, because parent-teacher conferences can potentially stress students out if their school performance hasn’t been the best, but it’s also a good opportunity to find out what your weaknesses are and how to improve them.”

WJPS PTA president Paula Freyeisen stated, “I think that parent-teacher conferences are good to have, but I also think that parents need to get involved with their child’s classes. I don’t think it puts stress on the student. It’s good to know where they are struggling and what needs improvement.”
