Winter break starts on December 24th, 2021 and runs through January 2nd, 2022. During this time, teachers and students can take time away from school and catch up on their personal lives. 

WJPS sixth grader Caylee Cucolo stated, “My plans for the winter break are to have fun while sledding and skiing in the poconos with my family.”

“I want to spend quality time with my husband, and my kid Zachary. I would also like to go visit the tree in Rockefeller Center, but I’m probably not going to due to COVID and my high anxiety,” commented WJPS teacher, Ms. Bonanni.

WJPS teacher Mr. Maroney stated, “I would like to hang out with my kids, play ball with them and give them my undivided attention; I’m making it all about the kiddos. My brother is also flying back from Brazil so I plan to visit him over the holidays.”

According to YouGovAmerica, the top three activities that U.S adults like to do in their leisure time during the winter as of November 2021 are visiting friends and family (40%), going to the movie theater (38%), and going shopping (36%).
