Bathroom Usage

Various members of the WJPS community say bathroom usage is an issue here at the school. Some students and staff say it is unfair that students have to put up with regulations for bathroom use because of others who exploit bathroom privileges.

WJPS sophomore Isabella Monotya stated, “I do not think teachers should limit bathroom use, because it is not fair that basic human functions are said no to, especially for girls.”

Moreover, WJPS junior Joanna Vlahaki said, “If it is a for real kind of thing, meaning if it is urgent, then no there should be no limits. But if other students are going to the bathroom solely to miss class time, then yes, read the room.”

WJPS teacher Ms. Meneses said, “It really depends, I think that people who abuse bathroom usage should have a limit at least per week, and individuals who don’t take advantage of going to the bathroom shouldn’t follow the same rules.”
