How College Applications are Affecting Students

By: Lily Zhao, Community Reporter

College is right around the corner, and with many seniors filling out applications now, it can be a stressful time. Along with deadlines approaching, it can be hard to keep things balanced with school, extracurricular activities, and sports.

Applying to more than one college could increase the likelihood of getting accepted into at least one college, but the increase of applications would lead to even more workload to deal with.

“I’d say it’s a bit stressful deciding our futures and planning them so young, but I appreciate all the help we’ve received during it. While it’s stressful, the help we received has made it a bit easier,” said WJPS senior, Trinity Andujar.

“It’s a lot of work to fill out the applications along with school work, but at least I’m getting by,” said WJPS senior Jenny Kuo.

Help is available for seniors applying to college through the guidance office, career seminar classes, as well as many teachers available for questions and recommendations.
