Many people go on YouTube to search for their favorite music video, gameplay, or a funny  compilation. However, disturbing and bizarre channels remain hidden. We have now entered the world of Alternate Reality Game (ARG).

For some of these channels, creators have come forth and admitted that their content is art and not someone dangerous working behind it. 

Some of these videos could be graphic and disturbing for some viewers. These videos create a story, and many viewers have come forth to make theories, and state their own interpretations of it.

Channels such as Alantutorial, Local 58, and HiI’mMaryMary, are some out of the various ARG’s online. These channels use props, actors, confusing titles, and eerie styles of editing. 

These channels will often possess encrypted titles that need to be decoded, or contain distorted audio that needs to be processed, in order to get a hidden message.

ARG’s are not only in video content, but can be websites too. An ARG such as @TheSunVanished on Twitter, is about someone who tweets on the strange happenings around them, trying to survive in a world without the sun.
