This month, some fans were taken aback when Ethan and Grayson Dolan uploaded a video titled “It’s Time To Move On…” 

The Dolan Twins started posting in 2014 and have taken small breaks due to personal health issues, but quickly returned. They’ve recently explained that they have been dealing with too much. 

The twins explain that this break is well needed and that they’ve been acting happy for too long. They say YouTube has recently began feeling like an obligation rather than a passion. 

WJPS junior, Alina Dervisevic said, “I feel it is very fair for them to do this as consistently uploading for five years can take a toll on someone. They started at 15, so they never really lived a normal teenage life, so it’s fair for them to take time off to decide what to do.” 

Another WJPS junior, Julia Ragoussis said, “To be honest, I feel really sad over this news because it’s unbelievable that their dad just passed. For them to take a break is completely understandable because they need time to deal with their own personal issues as well as time to grieve.”

Many viewers are left waiting and supporting the twins as they begin their hiatus.
