More than three hundred people lined up for blocks to meet and greet TV personality and socialite, Kim Kardashian-West and to obtain her recently released book “Selfish” on May 5th.

Kardashian promoted the event on her Twitter page on Monday afternoon. Kardashian’s husband, 21-time grammy winner, Kanye West, came up with the idea for his wife to share her selfies in the form of a book. He has openly supported Kardashian’s explicit selfies and magazine covers. The couple decided on the name of the book that contains over 300 pictures of Kim from 2006 to 2014.

“Can’t wait to meet all of you tomorrow at @BN Fifth Ave NYC at 12:30pm! I’ll be signing copies of #Selfish @rizzolibooks @bnbuzz,” Kardashian tweeted.

Selfies, personalization, and memorabilia were banned from the event. Kardashian changed the guidelines and allowed fans to take selfies with her after becoming aware of the amount of people that decided to support the release of her book.

“I got to Barnes & Nobles at around 8:30am being aware that the event started at 12:30pm. The line was legit eternal. It went down block after block, but it was so worth the wait. She’s such a nice person. She honestly does not deserve all the hate that she gets,” junior Josabeth Vinas said.

Protesters decided to show up to the event claiming that Kardashian wore fur outfits and did not care for animals. Protesters chanted, “Kim Kardashian is Selfish” and “Kim Kardashian does not care for animals.” Kardashian ignored the remarks and continued greeting her fans.

“I understand it’s for a good cause and everything, but this is not the time nor the place. This should be a happy day for Kim since it’s the day of her book release. It’s so rude,” a Kardashian fanatic said.

Even though Kardashian’s book signing was crashed by protesters, fans were able to meet and greet their idol.
