Seniors reach the beginning of the end

Seniors are looking forward to an easy and smooth ride to graduation. They will have some more bumps and struggles along the way like regents or AP testing if it applies, but for the most part its all about finishing strong and completing the home stretch. There are a numerous of fun activities and occasions being planned like senior award night or senior breakfast which eventually leads to the final step, graduation. Picture by Christopher Dadic.

As seniors reach the end of their final year, there are many important dates they must be aware of. With the senior trip finished there are only a few more senior events to keep in mind.

“I’m happy that the year is coming to an end and we have a lot of events to look forward to. Hopefully they’ll help end the year off with a bang,” senior Susie Pistone said.

Wednesday, June 10th is Senior Awards Night. The senior breakfast will be June 15th followed by graduation rehearsals. At this time cap and gowns and tickets for graduation will be given out. Prom will be held at the Bridgeview Yacht Club in Island Park on June 17th. Prom will run from 7PM to 12 PM, tickets are now on sale.

“I’m really excited for prom. It’s going to be so much fun to see everyone dressed up and spending one last night together,” senior Kaitlyn McKenna said.

Lastly, June 25th at 10AM will be graduation. After the ceremony will be a barbecue in the small school yard for the newly graduated students and their families. Seniors must come back the following day, June 26th to sign their diplomas.
