High schoolers recently took the PSATs while the middle schoolers were offered a chance to go on field trips. Each grade, sixth, seventh, and eighth went on different field trips.
Sixth graders got to go the Hall of Science. Seventh graders went to Pearl Studios. The eighth graders went to the movies. There they watched “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day” and received free snacks such as candy and popcorn.
At the Hall of Science, sixth graders took a tour and looked at the exhibits. For entertainment they were able to watch a 3D movie about the galaxy. Students learned about the supernova and much more. They got the chance to go to the gift shop.
“My favorite part of the trip was watching the movie because it gives us a lot of information in a way that got my attention. 3D is the best thing ever,” sixth grader Claire Kim said.
Seventh graders went to Manhattan to go to Pearl Studios. Pearl Studios is a dance studio that offers choreography, piano, and theatre.
“It was fun learning the warm ups that they taught us,” seventh grader Chris Ellis said.
Eighth graders saw the movie “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day”. While there weren’t any ravings on the free snacks, the movie was a big hit with the students. The movie was a comedy that gave humor to the audience.
“It was kind of corny because you knew what was going to happen before it happened,” eighth grader Ashley Rosero said.
