Sticks and stones

Sticks and stones

by Keith Loh, staff reporterScreen shot 2014-10-24 at 8.23.20 AM

Words are such a peculiar thing

A sharp tongue can cause so much damage

Whether it comes from a peasant or king

Without words, how could we manage?

In this world so full of technology

Without a thought, words can just slip out.

Without a single apology

Some just sit around and pout

Others go and take action,

For actions speak louder than words

This world has lost its compassion

So break away, stop following the herd

I really enjoyed this. You poetry has this flow and its just beautiful. I also agree with what you wrote, how words can hurt.
