WJPS welcomed the US Navy and members of law enforcement for career day. These included officers from The Port Authority and petty officers from the Navy.
Classes got to hear from several members of the US Navy including 2024 WJPS graduate Ryan Jiang. As they presented to each class, they discussed the benefits of joining the Navy, including salary, educational aid, free travel, and discipline.
Petty Officer Ketwuan Price said, “What I enjoy most about my job is working with new people, and building relationships.”
Port Authority officer Thomas Sullivan who has served for 18 years, teaches and trains upcoming officers in the field of law enforcement. This includes the Port Authority Youth Program which is available to high school students.
