Teachers here at WJPS should assign more in class projects. They can help students develop a better understanding of certain topics. These projects are also entertaining, creative, and require critical thinking.
These in class projects may also help students develop better communication skills, as they are required to work with the people around them. This may also enhance personal and social responsibility for students, as they are expected to gather information and be organized with their projects.
In class projects can be a social boost for many students since they have to connect with their peers in order to do well on these projects. This also makes it so that students may become more comfortable with each other.
Projects may also build motivation for students to get their work done, since they should be constantly checking their work in case there are any possible updates for their projects. This builds student confidence because if students get a good grade on the project, they will want to push harder in the future.
WJPS teacher Mr. Thompson stated, “I believe in class projects would be good for students to interact with each other.”
WJPS 11th grader Sofia Cangialosi also stated, “In class projects are very productive and really impact the learning process in a positive way, as you develop a better understanding of what you’re doing.”
