A common ideal amongst us is that things are
either always simple or always complicated
Either black and white, or skewed to a color so
gray that there’s no real need to look at it
Though a rarity, there are many things
made up of two simple sides
But in truth, neither is the answer
Each argument has a middle ground
Every group has a non-believer
Every opinion has someone who’s undecided
And, usually, we have our own ideas
Nothing in life is simply black or white
We couldn’t live without the gray
Good and Evil have their own justifications
and no two people are the same
There is a savanna in every desert
A rock in every river
A center to every endless expanse
Including those in our mind.
