Students were given the chance to visit four colleges that offer many different majors. The schools they visited were Mount St. Mary College , Marist College , SUNY Oneonta, and Binghamton University.
“By going on this trip students will be able to explore and experience college life. It’s not only a matter of what the schools offer but it’s the atmosphere and campus life that the students will get a chance to experience. This will be instrumental in students making decisions as far as where they feel more comfortable,” pupil accounting secretary, Ms. Arroyo said.
This college tour costed $185.00 and they only had forty seats available. This price included the cost of the coach bus, lunch, dinner, and hotel the first day and breakfast, lunch, and dinner the second day.
Students left at 6:30 A.M. on October 9th and came back to the school at approximately 8:15 P.M.
On the first day, students went on a tour of Mount St. Mary College and to the information session. After having lunch at Mount St. Mary College, the students went to Marist College for a tour. Students had dinner at Marist College.
After that the students traveled to a Holiday Inn located in Oneonta where they slept for the night. On Friday, students took a tour of SUNY Oneonta and had lunch there. The last college they visited was Binghamton University. There they had dinner and returned to the school.
“I want to go on the college trip so I can know what colleges are good for me and are bad for me and because of the experience I might have,” junior Terrell Jones said.
