Music legend, Prince Rogers Nelson, has passed at the age of 57. He was found in his home elevator in Paisley Park. Paramedics performed CPR but could not revive him.
He was pronounced dead at 10:07 AM on the morning of April 21st. An autopsy was conducted the Friday after, and took four hours at the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office in Minnesota. The body was then released to his family on the same day.
“It’s sad that good artists are passing away because it’s scary to think that their music is going to die with them,” junior Caitlyn Reid said.
Fans gathered at Paisley Park and left tributes of flowers, balloons and signs. Many of the fans were dressed in purple in his honor of his well renowned song “Purple Rain”.
