From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series, a reimagining of the 1996 movie, has just been renewed by El Rey and Miramax for its third season. From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series stars D.J. Cotrona, Zane Holtz, Eiza González, and Wilmer Valderrama.
The series for the most part follows the plot of the original movie, which was the story of two brothers, Seth and Richie Gecko, who rob a bank in Abilene, Texas and flee to Mexico to try to get protection in a place called “El Rey.” In the original movie, the brothers are played by George Clooney and Quentin Tarantino.
What’s different about the series is that it goes more into depth about the brothers, played by Cotrona and Holtz as well as other characters backstories, such as Santánico Pandemónium played by Gonzalez, who becomes a big part in the show.
The show’s second season’s finale has just aired on October 27th. The day before the finale, it was announced that the series has been renewed.
“It’s shockingly provocative and the plot line is just the right amount of confusing. But you still can’t look away,” junior Elizabeth Browne said.
From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series is played on El Rey network, but the first season is available on Netflix. There is no news yet as to when the third season will premiere.
