Anyone who walks into the high school bathroom stall and tries to use it, will notice that there are no locks on the stalls.
The bathroom gets dirty really fast. The toilet seats are full of defecation and there is barely a toilet paper holder.
“I think that they’re really dirty and I don’t like them so I usually go to the second floor where it’s a lot cleaner and the stalls lock. But the girls are really dirty and don’t know how to keep the bathroom clean,” sophomore Christina Aurigmma said.
The stalls don’t close right because they don’t have locks that are properly placed or they are broken. There is no privacy when one goes in them.
“The boys bathroom do have locks on the stalls but no one goes in them,” junior Demetri Mahalios said.
Students have friends hold the door for them or try to hold it themselves while they use it. Other students use things such as their planner or toilet paper and stick it between the lock.
“I think it’s unfair that the guys have better stalls than the girls because we need our privacy too. I ask my friends or someone else hold the door for me because I can’t,” eighth grader Ariana Figueroa said.
The bathrooms in this school are atrocious and a change needs to be made. Girls should no longer have to adjust and make do with these stalls. The school needs to invest more in the girl’s bathrooms.
