The WJPS Parent-Teacher Association(PTA) is hosting a mini golf fundraiser on May 16th, starting at 6:30 PM and ending at 7:30 PM. The event will take place at Flushing Meadows Corona Park, and tickets are $15 per person.

WJPS PTA president Michele DeRosa said, “We decided to try a mini-golf fundraiser because we are hoping it is fun for the whole family. While we have had success with our ice skating fundraiser, not everyone knows how to ice skate and mini golf might be easier to try.”

WJPS ninth grader Isabella Falcicchio said, “I think it’s a good choice because golf is fun and I think a lot of students would like to engage with it. If I was in charge of the next PTA fundraiser, I’d have it be a pizza party or something else that involves food, because kids like to eat.”

Payments are due May 14th, and can be given to the main office or the PTA via cash or check or online via TicketLeap.

Non-WJPS students can participate, but they must have an adult chaperone with them.

The paper form for joining includes spaces to write a student’s name and grade, a phone number, the number of students and adults, and the amount of cash enclosed.
