The Roborock Saros Z70 is a robot vacuum designed to make home cleaning automatic. It features a foldable robotic arm, called OmniGrip, which can pick up small objects like toys and socks, something most robot vacuums can’t do. It also uses sensors and AI with the StarSight system to avoid obstacles and clean more efficiently.
WJPS 12th grader Adam Shalaby said, “It seems very useful and I’d love to have one since my dogs shed like crazy.”
The vacuum features dual spinning mops which collect dirt, dust, and pet hair on both hard floors and carpets. It’s small enough to clean under low furniture, and the anti-tangle system helps prevent hair from clogging the vacuum.
WJPS 12th grader Jake Ehrlich shared, “I think it’s great because when I have to clean the house it takes me hours to do everything, because stuff gets everywhere. If I just had a robot to do the annoying work it would be great. The arm can be used for a lot of things, it really shows that technology is advancing.”
The Z70 can connect to smart home systems and supports voice control. It also comes with a self-cleaning dock that empties dust and washes the mop pads. Shipping is expected to begin around the middle of 2025 and the price is approximately $2000.
