After three months without having a town hall, it was crucial to go over everything the students have missed. Mr. Nisonoff, who conducted the town hall on Wednesday, March 11th, was sure to cover all of the following topics.
“The March 11th town hall was very informational. It was basically about job opportunities, school events, and mainly the Portfolio Conferences,” Mr. Nisonoff said.
Senior Dues:
This is the time of the year for Seniors to begin thinking about graduation. Senior dues have to be given in by March 18th. The price is set at $200.00 and covers the yearbook, cap/gown, graduation announcements/tickets, senior awards night, and other graduation expenses. If seniors don’t pay their dues, seniors won’t be able to attend prom or the senior trips.
Graduation:
As for the senior trip, the money and the signed permission slip must be handed by March 18th as well. Slips are being accepted in Mrs. Apeler’s room during the first 15 minutes of lunch, and if someone is under 18 years of age, they must have their parents signature to participate in paintball.
“The March town hall was very effective and successful. It was a great reminder to the students that there still are events going on in the school even though some students aren’t aware,” junior Brendan Muniz said.

Portfolio Conference:
This semesters Portfolio Conference is being held March 26th in the evening, and March 27th during the afternoon. All students will have a half of day on Friday. Make sure to schedule an appointment with an advisory teacher, and show up on time.
With regents week, and winter break in the past, students missed a lot going on in school. The town hall was an effective and successful way to inform students about upcoming events.
