As the spring season continues, volleyball is among the sports offered to WJPS students, who compete for Francis Lewis High School.
Playing in his first year is senior Alvin Zeng.
Zeng’s position on the team is an OP, opposite hitter, which is behind the center spot.
When did you start to play, and who inspired you to start playing volleyball?
“I started playing volleyball when I was four years old, and my dad used to play when he was younger, so he’s the one who taught me.”
What do you think is your greatest strength when playing?
“I think my greatest strength would be my awareness of everyone on the court. I can also jump pretty high.”
Do you think you will continue to keep playing after high school?
“When I graduate and go to college, I hope to keep playing for college. Even if it’s not for a team, then just for fun.”
