On April 26th -28th, World Journalism Preparatory School will be hosting a clothing drive. The WJPS student government is partnering with Saint Mary’s Church for families in need.
All remote students and members of the community may come to the building on April 28, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. They can use the 35th Avenue side entrance to drop off their items.
In-person students can drop their donations off during school hours, on any of the two days. Students may drop off their items in bins located in their classrooms.
The school is looking for men’s clothing, children’s clothing, shoes, and women’s clothing. Clothes should be newly or gently used when donated.
A senior at WJPS, Sarah Baione said, “Our school is helping make a difference and we are doing this as a team. I’m excited our student government can partner with a church to help these families!”
Bianca Bonanno, a junior in WJPS explained, “This is a great way for people to recycle their clothes and receive clothes for the families that need it. I donated so many clothes and I feel great that they are going to a good cause.”
