He waits outside her door, as she readies herself, about to go out,
planning the day ahead and what to talk about.
Holding hands as they cross the street,
giving her a soft kiss that makes her knees go weak.
He reminds her that she’s beautiful every now and then,
for she has scars that have yet to mend
Understanding her mind as well as her heart,
the two are inseparable, until death do them part.
She tells him her hopes, dreams, and fears,
he would nod and smile, wiping away her tears.
Gentle at heart, but unable to be helped,
his emotions demand to be felt,
He fears that one day they will grow away,
but she promises him that her love will never sway.
