The National Honor Society extended the food drive last month because of the minimal cans that were collected in the beginning of the food drive.

Ms. Paplow and members of the National Honor Society arrange the food drive every Thanksgiving, to give to the less fortunate. Students are asked to bring in non-perishable canned or dry foods.

“I can only hope that we have a massive turn out. I expect us to do the right thing by helping out the less fortunate,” Principal Ms. Schneider said.

Ms. Schneider decided to have a redemption day for students, so they can redeem themselves by bringing in more cans for the food drive. She has donated three bags of food for the food drive as well.

“They [the school] shouldn’t pressure people to donate because it’s their decision since it is a charity. Not a lot of the high school students are going to donate because they have other things to worry about,” National Honor Society club member Adriana Loh said.
