Eighth graders are going to Frost Valley for their senior trip. This trip will be focusing on team building and spending time in the outdoors. It will take place from February 1 to February 3.

Students will have to pay approximately $260. This includes all meals and snacks, housing, all activities, round-trip transportation from WJPS, and on-site nurse service.

“I think it would be fun because you get to hangout with friends outside of school that you normally don’t get to hang out with. It’s like a mini vacation with all your friends,”  eighth grader Amelia Baffo said.

There will be many activities. This includes high and low ropes team building adventure courses, experience earth science first hand through hiking and outdoor classes, indoor climbing wall, and activities based on geology, ecology, watersheds, and wildlife.

“It’s a science trip and it complements the earth science curriculum,” Guidance Counselor Mr. Lumetta  said.

Students will be able to go on night hikes, snowshoe hikes (if weather permits), pond, meadow and forest explorations, and will be learning outdoor living skills.

“It was a nice experience for the whole grade,” sophomore Emily Perez said.
