Middle Schoolers were shadowed by the graduating class of 2016, in order to bond and learn from them.

“The experience was very fascinating. You wouldn’t realize that the middle schoolers were just like you until you have a conversation with them. I really bonded with the middle schoolers,”senior Marcella Arcabascio said.

Seniors were given a student from the middle school to shadow for the entire day. Seniors took notes on what the middle school finds appealing and unappealing, applying that information to the yearbook. Reason for this event was to expand the yearbook to not only seniors but, the entire school.

“Shadowing the middle schoolers brought [back] so much memories,” senior Joshua Vergara said.

This event took place within the school, the shadows being Ms. Schneider’s senior third period class, on Thursday 12/11/15. Schneider was very pleased with the outcome of the event, and plans on scheduling another similar event. The date is still unknown for the next shadowing.

“I learned a lot from my shadower Sara Doran. She made me feel prepared for when I graduate middle school,” sixth grader Sophia Mamone said.
