New York City, make some room because the first ever Chick-fil-a is coming. It will be located on the corner of West 37th Street and 6th Avenue in the city’s Garment District.
The grand opening will be October 3, 2015. It is a known fact that the owners of the franchise are Southern Baptist and, like all of the other locations, they will not be open on Sundays.
“I had Chick-fil-a the first time at Frontier Mall in Cheyenne, Wyoming. I was use to Chick-fil-a being a food option for me and when I moved to New York it wasn’t. I love Chick-fil-a,” senior Adriana Anez said.
Chick-fil-a is a fast food chain known for their chicken products such as chicken strips, and chicken sandwiches, as well as their waffles fries and chick-fil-a sauce. Although the chain focuses many of their products around chicken, they do offer vegetarian and vegan options.
“I think that it’s awesome that Chick-fil-a has options for vegetarians and vegans. It shows how veganism and vegetarianism really has made an impact because now we have a lot more options than we had ten years ago,” senior Marcela Abanto said.
The Chick-fil-a chain plans to open another location near Rockefeller Center at 46th Street and 6th Avenue.
