Humane’s AI Pin

The Humane Artificial Intelligence Pin can be worn for everyday life, according to Humane. It’s essentially a phone that you can pin onto your clothes to send texts and take photos with an added feature that utilizes a laser to project images and videos onto the user’s palm.

Starting at $699, customers can now preorder and have it shipped.

There are three pins to choose from: Eclipse, Lunar, and Equinox. All pins have a housing of High-Strength Aluminum, a touchpad of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, and an optical Sensing Capsule, according to Humane.

The pin uses AI similar to OpenAI, ChatGPT’s AI software.

The pin is designed to be more comfortable for individuals to wear all day and to be less intrusive while still being just as effective.

WJPS 11th grader Rick Montoya stated, “I wouldn’t purchase the pin since I already have my phone. It would be a waste to have something like that around and I would most likely tend to forget it.”

WJPS 11th grader Arianna Distl said, “I probably won’t buy it because although it could be beneficial I just feel that it’s not necessary especially if I have a phone already. It’s a good idea, just not needed.”
