Levain Bakery has become one of the top-rated cookies across the nation. The chain has come out as number one on Time Out’s scale for its monster chocolate chip cookies.

Originally based in Manhattan the bakery now has multiple locations now spread out across New York with additional locations in Queens, and Brooklyn. The bakery has also branched out into five different states.

Their chocolate chip cookies with walnuts are one of their most famous with the classic double chocolate chip cookies. The cookies range from $5-$5.50 each.

In their Astoria and Williamsburg locations, they offer delivery within the borough. There is a delivery fee based on location around three to five dollars.

The double chocolate chip cookie and the oatmeal raisin cookies are both bigger than your average size. The chocolate chip cookie has a crispy outside and soft slightly chewy inside with a generous amount of chocolate chips in every bite.

The oatmeal raisin cookies were also crispy on the outside and slightly chewy on the inside. The oatmeal part of the cookie was not too sweet and it balanced out nicely with the sweet raisins.

WJPS 11th grader, Carlos Sevilla said, “I tried the cookies and they were like twice as big as Chip City. They also tasted way better. I would definitely recommend it in the area.”

WJPS 12th grader, Maleny Argudo said, “I haven’t tried them yet but the pictures look really good. I would be interested in trying the chocolate chip cookies.”
