Why is it hard to find jobs as teenagers?

Finding a job when you’re a teenager is tough and demanding as there are a lot of applicants for every position. There is competitiveness with other applicants that include college students and older adults.

Even with some availability there are so many challenges including long hours at some jobs with lower pay makes it even harder to get a decent job. It might also be challenging if the commitment of traveling far distances for work becomes difficult.

A diploma from high school or college may be requested by employers to assess your suitability for the position and your level of skill.

A few individuals get inquired by employers to come for second round interviews, but after a couple of days, they will not contact them since they likely are terrible at the work they were approximately contracted to. 

WJPS 12th grader Alexsandre Arroyo said, “Yes, finding a job is hard. I work for a company.”

WJPS 12th grader Andrew Koziol said, “It is hard to find a job. I have been trying to find somewhere to work but it has been hard lately.”

People should take their time finding jobs. As some jobs can give insurance benefits, a hybrid option, or higher pay for fewer hours worked.
