Gyro Corner is a Bayside staple, which opened in 1991. The humble restaurant has been serving the community Greek cuisine for over 20 years. Its convenient location allows the restaurant to be indulged by many Queens residents. 

Traditional gyro and souvlaki sandwiches are offered, along with their kebabs allowing customers to experience the culture of Greece. Their menu also allows for customers to experience the culture and customs of America as well. 

While their food has the delicious flavors common to Greece, their pricing is set at rates too high and is in need of changes. 

WJPS senior, Nicholas Persaud said, “I enjoyed the food, the pricing was a little steep, but understandable because it’s Bayside, but yes I would go again.”

WJPS senior, Demian Kwon said, “The food was delectable and I enjoyed it a lot. The pricing was fair on the main dishes, but on the side dishes I believe the price is a tad bit high.” 

Possible solutions to this issue could be lowering the prices while increasing advertisements in order to generate more business to make up for the money lost when the prices are lowered. In addition, establishing a stronger presence on social media could help generate revenue.
