Ms. Flanigan is a new teacher here at WJPS, but she has been teaching in NYC since 2016. She currently teaches economics and eighth grade history with Mr. Mengani.

Teaching was a dream come true as she had always wanted to be a teacher. Ms. Flanigan shared her inspiration for teaching, “I have always wanted to be a teacher and I wanted to be able to make a difference in students’ lives by helping them be successful and reach all of their goals.” 

WJPS teacher Mr. Mengani shared, “Ms. Flanigan is an outstanding teacher. I cannot recall ever seeing a teacher adjust so quickly and so well to working in a new school. She is intelligent, resourceful, flexible, caring and diligent. She embodies everything someone could want in a cooperating teacher and I think she has a great future ahead of her at WJPS. We are lucky to have hired her.”

WJPS senior, Cameron Henrich shared, “I don’t usually need help but every now and then she gives me some tips on how to do certain things and she checks over my work to make sure it’s alright.”

So far, Ms. Flanigan has been enjoying the WJPS community and is excited to be here.
