College Decision Day

College+Decision+Day

On the morning of Monday May 1st WJPS seniors spent their first period class in the library socializing and eating pastries in honor of National College Decision Day. Seniors had the opportunity to show off their college merchandise and which future college or university they’ll be attending.

“The hardest thing about finalizing my decision for college was definitely making sure it was the right fit for me both academically and financially, because I’m not dorming, so it was important that all my needs were met,” commented WJPS senior Acelin Lunetta.

WJPS senior Claudio Corte said, “The hardest step for me was getting accepted into colleges to begin with because I had a problem with my transcript, which delayed the process of everything. In the end, only one college ended up accepting me, but I’m still grateful I was given the chance to attend.”

“Looking for colleges that had a pre-architecture program was quite difficult because most of them required a portfolio which I did not have,” stated Senior Diego Hernandez.

Senior Nick Zuvich commented, “The commitment of dorming at college and knowing that you’re going to be away from your friends and family at home had the biggest impact on me since I’ve always been close to the people I love, but I’m going to have to get used to it.”
