Nick Carollo is a 15-year-old athlete and WJPS sophomore who boxes, and has further background in other mixed martial arts. 

Carollo attends East Queens Boxing Club, practicing around two hours a day as well as putting in two more hours working out in the gym. 

He also has four years of jiu-jitsu under his belt.

He was introduced to boxing by his father and developed a passion for it, training daily for the past four years. Carollo said, “growing up, my dad would make me watch boxers like Canelo Alvarez and since then I have been inspired by him.” 

Carollo has competed in 10 boxing tournaments with a total of nine wins and one loss. He has also competed in around eight jiu-jitsu tournaments, remaining undefeated.

He stated, “I’ve been fighting for a long time now and I’m really looking into taking the sport seriously.”

Carollo is looking forward to strengthening his talents in hopes of professionally advancing in the near future. 

With his athleticism and experience in mixed martial arts, he says his dream of becoming a professional fighter is looking more and more like a reachable goal.
