Valerie Hoetzel, Opinion Reporter

After a long day of school, most students are exhausted from enduring gym, math problems, and writing. Eating can fuel you up after school depletes your energy.

When home seems too far away in time, and your stomach growls are too powerful, proximity is almost as pivotal as taste. However, you need not worry when right across the street from WJPS lies Thai restaurant Eim-a Roy.

Upon entrance, you will be met with a cordial waiter leading you to the wooden tables topped with vases, setting the place up for a welcoming and homey atmosphere.

The menu consists of plenty of options ranging from dumplings to noodles. I ordered the lunch special, including one entree and a starter for a discounted price of $10, from 1-4 pm on workdays.

The meal started with vegetable dumplings and a tiny salad with a soy dipping sauce. The lettuce cucumber salad met well with the sauce, the dumplings soft and pleasant.

It was followed by the pad see ew, its noodle-like consistency was coated in a sweet dressing decorated with an assortment of vegetables like baby corn, steamed spinach, and carrots.

Pairing it with the lychee tea was the cherry on top and a must for any customer.

Eim A-Roy exceeded my expectations, ranking it 5/5 stars.
