Disney on Broadway has been going strong for a little over 25 years. Recently, it was announced that Disney on Broadway would be holding a special event for the holidays in person.

The event is set to run in New Jersey through January 2nd, with its official opening day on December 5th. 

The show features Broadway stars, including Disney on Broadway stars such as Kara Lindsey, who played Katherine Plumber in Newsies, and Major Attaway, who played the Genie in Aladdin.

This show will reminisce Disney on Broadway songs throughout the years in a unique format exclusively for this show. 

It will also include a whole new book and brand new scenery unique to the production.

WJPS senior Katherine Pappas said, “I think this is an awesome idea to celebrate the holidays. Going to a Broadway show is a great way to get in the holiday spirit.”

WJPS teacher Mr. Bonanni said, “I think that sounds like a nice plan, but with COVID, I would not be willing to attend.”

We can look forward to seeing what this new holiday season twist on Disney on Broadway may have in store for us.
