Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield

Recently, Gamefreak released Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield, the latest installment of its popular role playing game series.

Each version is composed of the same features and storyline while having minor differences like the game exclusive Pokemon which can be obtained through trading with a person that owns that exclusive Pokemon in their own copy of the game.

One example of this is the gyms that the players can challenge to obtain badges, as they vary based on what version of the game you have. These gym badges show the status and progress a Pokemon trainer has achieved through their efforts in battling with their Pokemon.

Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield also bring another feature that hasn’t been explored in any other main Pokemon game, an open world which is when a player can freely approach and explore the objectives that are in that world.

The last big feature that was introduced to Sword and Shield was a raid battle system which allows several players to battle against a Pokemon that is powered up in a process known as dynamax for a chance to catch these Pokemon after they are defeated, similar to the raid system in the mobile game Pokemon Go.
