Ms.Cimini’s 8th grade students have had an annual trip to Frost Valley for the past three years.  This year, freshman students were invited back from March 3 to March 5 to attend along with this years present 8th graders since not many 8th graders are attending.

There are many different activities and hikes that are offered during the morning and afternoon.  The hike to the frozen waterfall included many steep slopes where students had to hold on to a rope in order to make their way down.

“The frozen waterfall was beautiful. I recommend everyone go visit it,” freshman Melanie Pianky said.

Frost Valley is a change from students lives in Queens. It gives students many different activities that they have never done before.

“I love taking students from a city to a place that’s so different from their everyday experiences,”  Earth Science teacher Ms.Cimini said.

Frost Valley provides breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Guest serve themselves family style and clean up after themselves. All the students enjoyed the food, especially the s’mores and hot chocolate during the trips’ camp fire.

“The food was delicious and better than I expected,” freshman Sara Shiffman said.

There are two cabins, a girls cabin and a boys cabin. Each room has bunk beds, a full bathroom and fits up to 6 people.

“From my experience, the cabins were very clean and provided a house warming feeling. I would definitely enjoy going back,” freshman Giuliana Pezzino said.

This will be the freshmen students’ second time in Frost Valley so they can be expecting new activities like zip lining.
