They were once the best team in the NBA, currently they stand in last place in the Western Conference. The Los Angeles Lakers have lost their title of greatness.

Its a sad transition going from a winning team so skilled, with Center Shaquille O’Neal, Point Guard Derek Fisher, Power Forward Horace Grant, and the young Shooting guard Kobe Bryant.

“Ah yes, the glory days when the Lakers were really good and when I was a real Lakers fan, the team had great playmaking, and all of the players were very skillful,” senior Nick Pecunia said.

Currently the Los Angeles Lakers are now the worst team in the NBA with a record of one-seven. They have won only one game in the eight that they have played. Kobe Bryant is still good, but he’s old.

The problem about the Lakers is that in a few years, who will be taking command of the Lakers? Power Forward Julius Randle? Not exactly, maybe Small Forward Nick Young, but he still isn’t qualified enough to become the next Lakers all star.

What happened to the trio of Center Dwight Howard, Bryant, and Point Guard Steve Nash? Has three years gone by already and they still haven’t been in the playoffs?

“I missed the old Lakers. It was cool seeing Kobe and Dwight Howard play, but it did not work, the plays would never work, they had no chemistry,” senior Gunhee Cho said.

They better get their act together if they want to be playoff worthy in the future, possibly by making trades or by dropping players to afford better players.
