The Armenian Festival, which included fun, games and live music, took place at Holy Martyrs Church in Bayside on September 15th from 12pm-8pm. The festival has gone on for a little over 60 years. The festival served Armenian food and sweet homemade desserts like rice pilaf, assorted kebabs, and more Mediterranean appetizers.
Rides and attractions, like bouncy castles, face painting stations, and raffle games filled the festival. There also was live dances and entertainment performed by the Hye Bar dance group with dancers from the local church community.
Going down the block, there were vendors selling bags, books, and antiques. If you missed the Armenian festival on Oceania Street this year, you could always go to visit next fall!
