North Carolina isn’t as colorful as people once thought it was. They recently passed a state law saying that people can only use public bathrooms based on the gender on their birth certificates. This has caused quite the uproar.

In the first reactions, the state is being penalized by having opportunities taken away from them. Bruce Springsteen cancelled his concert going there. A Hulu TV production streaming service relocated to Canada. Bank Of America and Apple criticized them, and other stipulations have been revoked from the state.

“I think it’s entirely stupid and unfair,” junior Kailey Bosyk said.

Due to all of these consequences, the governor of the state is thinking about reversing the law as a result of all the feedback.
