It is the time of the year, where the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) starts March Madness. The first game was hosted on April 2nd at the NRG stadium in Houston, Texas. It is also the place that the championship game was held in.

The first game that kicked off the night was Villanova Wildcats vs Oklahoma Sooners, with the WIldcats winning 95 to 51.

The second game of the night was North Carolina Tar Heels vs Syracuse Orange, with the Tar Heels winning 83 to 66.

“That’s crazy how there were two crazy shots within thirty seconds,” senior Nick Cassarino said.

With the Tar Heels and Wildcats making it to the championship, the Wildcats won the championship with a score of 77 to 74, as Kris Jenkins made a buzzer beater shot.

“The March Madness tournament ended in such an exciting fashion. Both teams fought till the end and certainly kept me watching till the final buzzer. I can’t believe that Kris Jenkins made that shot with a few seconds left. That will definitely go down in history,” senior Kaila Pulley said.
